Hey, so I just got here to the MTC. South Africa
is super cool, very green. The airport did smell like BO though. Weird that
they drive on the other side of the road. I love the weather so far. All one
day of it. Right now, it's about 7:30 for me and there's a nice cool breeze
that feels divine. I am doing good, the flight out of Atlanta to here was
really hard for me because I didn't have anything to think about except missing
you guys. I had some pretty yummy food though and I can't complain. There
is a total of 8 of us here at the MTC, only one other elder from Utah. Tomorrow
is when the rest of the elder’s report and then there will be a total of 19 of
us. It hit me super hard on the plane that I'm not going to see you for two
years. Almost had to go hide in the bathroom so I could go cry. Yikes.
Also, I navigated Atlanta without any help (and without asking anyone) and led
the way for the other missionaries who got lost. Oh, and nice job with
the jellybeans, it got my bag pulled and I got searched. LOL. Loved the
scrapbook and all the notes! Love you all, I will be able to email you again on
Tuesday which I think is actually Monday for you, I'm a little confused on the
time difference. Anyways, happy birthday tomorrow (or whenever the 11th is for
you guys) Mom, I love you and don't let Dad forget to give you your
present. Elder Payne
